Instructor Bio
Alex Doucet is the founder and lead instructor of Valour Emergency Preparedness. With years of experience in the fire service, Alex has served as a Fire Training Officer, volunteer Medical First Responder (MFR), and member of Ground Search and Rescue (GSAR). He now serves as a Fire Instructor, where he is passionate about developing confident, capable emergency responders.
Alex's teaching philosophy is rooted in practical, hands-on learning. Drawing on real emergency incidents and frontline experience, he creates engaging courses that combine realistic scenarios with proven techniques, helping students understand not only how to perform critical skills, but when and why they matter.
Whether teaching first aid, firefighter training, wilderness medicine, or emergency preparedness, Alex is committed to ensuring every student leaves with the confidence and competence to respond effectively in real-world emergencies.
